‘Ugly Betty’ Star Michael Brea, rants “My Mother’s The Devil” and Kills her With Sword

According to the NYPD, Michael Brea, an actor who once appeared on Ugly Betty, has killed his mother with a samurai sword after a “religious rant.”

Ugly Betty and Step-Up 3D actor Michael Brea is now in jail and probably won’t be doing anymore acting for a long while if ever again. He has been arrested for fatally stabbing his mother with a sword. Yannick Brea, 55, was heard screaming by neighbors as her son chased her around their Brooklyn apartment home at around 1:30 AM Tuesday.

Neighbor Gregory Clare recalls:

“I hear the brother chasing her [his mother] through the house and he’s just saying a bunch of like [Bible] passages like, ‘Repent, Repent, Repent,’”“I heard him chasing her through the house and I hear a loud scream and so I have my father call the cops, I yelled call 911.”

Michael Brea was heard referencing the ‘architect of the universe,’ which is a term used by Freemasons to mean a supreme being, or god. He was also heard shouting at his mother to ‘REPENT,’ before stabbing her with a 3-foot ceremonial use sword and decapitating her.

When the police arrived they tasered Michael and took him to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation, where he allegedly said:

“When I looked at my mother, I saw the devil. I was slashing my mom and I heard the police knocking on the door yelling, Michael open up, Michael open up, but I knew the wouldn’t open the door and stop me because the spirits were protecting me, I just kept cutting her. No one could stop me! I was doing God’s work.”

The investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending. ABC, the network on which Ugly Betty appeared, had no comment.

Mariah Carey reveals that she is pregnant with twins.

While promoting her new CD “Merry Christmas II You,” the mom-to-be, who is expecting with husband Nick Cannon, was talking about how she sings songs from her new album to her baby bump when she referred to the fetus as “they.”

In an interview that aired today with Radio Disney’s Ernie D., Mariah joked, “I just hope that they don’t turn out hating Christmas!”

During a recent interview with Angie Martinez in the Hot 97 VIP lounge Nicki went in throwing some wild punches, so to speak,  finally commenting on her beef with “The Queen B.”

Nicki’s recent single “Roman’s Revenge” sparked a world of controversy for its subliminal shots at Kim. ”Yeah, I said it has-been, hang it up–flat screen” was just one of the many references to the Queen Bee. Lil’ Kim has picked at Nicki for some time, without response but that’s all over. Nicki Minaj truly went in on Lil’ Kim and I think she may have started the next big rap beef!

Your girl Nicki goes on to say:

“[Kim] just really jumped out of the window and you got to be careful when you pick fights. That’s what I learned in this business. You just never know. I think people get me mistaken wiht like a real Barbie… they forget where I’m from. If i have to revert back I can, and I will. Don’t play with me. I respect you and love you. I’ve said it in every interview, time and time again. And if that’s not good enough for you mama, then it’s something deep rooted in you. Something is bothering you inside….”

Nicki goes on to say she asked LIl’ Kim during a Lil’ Wayne tour if there was a problem, and Kim responded “no” and asked to take a picture with her.

Foxy asked “Why you keep on giving props to Kim? She don’t like you, she be dissin’ you…”

Nicki thinks it’s because of her new found success.

Bishop Eddie Long To Settle Out of Court

November 20, 2010 — The first hearing in the case was held in Atlanta on Friday November 19th, whereas Long denied ever having sex with any of the four men who have made allegations against him, both sides have expressed their desire to resolve the case without going to trial.Both sides are now headed for settlement talks.

Lawyers for the bishop and the four young men who have filed suits against him said they want to avoid a trial and resolve the dispute in mediation early next year.

During a status conference held Friday, lawyers for both sides gave a road map of what’s going to happen throughout the case, when it’s going to happen and why it’s going to happen.

On the way into the courthouse, Bishop Eddie Long’s attorney Craig Gillen, and the young accusers’ attorney, B.J. Bernstein, had little to say. But after a short status conference, one thing was clear: Both sides were ready to resolve the case.

“The number one thing is we are ready to move forward in this case,” said Bernstein.

Jamal Parris and three other young men have filed sexual misconduct lawsuits against the popular Bishop and his 10,000-seat New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The lawsuits allege the bishop sent the three young men provocative pictures and lavished money and gifts on the then-teenagers, while having sex with the young men.

Bishop Long has filed an answer to all four lawsuits, claiming in bold letters on the first page the claims of sexual misconduct are not true.

In all four of the lawsuits, Bishop Long admitted he was a mentor to a number of young men, trying to build stability in their lives. He admitted to traveling with the young men and at times sharing a room with them.

In the lawsuit, Bishop Eddie Long admitted young men in the church called him “daddy” or sometimes “granddaddy,” and he specifically denied in every lawsuit that he ever had sex with any of the four young men.

During the status conference, both sides said they want to try to avoid trial, and have a mediator resolve the allegations. Judge Johnny Panos set a February date for mediation. If the case is not settled in mediation, expect the first of possibly four separate trials in July or August.

Attorneys also said that during the course of the case, the court will hear from expert witnesses who will talk about the relationship that should be there between a professional, like a bishop, and a parishioner, like the young men who have filed suit against him.

Kanye Blasts Today Show

Kanye West scrapped a planned concert for America’s ‘Today Show’, after a huge fall out with TV execs over his recent interview on the program.

Kanye was due to perform on the show to promote his new album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, but is now refusing to honor the commitment. The reason? An uncomfortable interview on ‘The Today Show’ earlier in the week left Kanye feeling “alone, used and tortured” after they played a clip his VMA outburst with Taylor Swift. Too funny!

Kanye took to his Twitter account to express his anger.

He tweeted, “I’m not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons… I blatantly said I’m not performing on a Tweet and to everyone around me and the next day they still announced a performance.

“Do you guys see what I’m saying now? This is just a small slice of the day-to-day bulls**t that goes on that helps to precipitate the idea that (I’m) such an a**hole. Cause when I don’t perform ‘Oh now I’m the one that’s crazy or a jerk.’ ”

Earlier in the week Kanye had complained about the Today show interview through his Twitter.

He tweeted, “Let me tell you how they did me at the Today show… While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the MTV (clip) under me with audio!… I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show… and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! He tried to force my answers. It was very brutal and I came there with only positive intent. I feel very alone, very used, very tortured, very forced, very misunderstood, very hollow, very very misused.”
