Thank you so much to the Academy this is insane and I truly sincerely wish that the prize tonight was to get to work with my fellow nominees. I’m so in awe of you. I’m so grateful to get to do the job that I do. I love it so much. I want to thank my parents, who are right there, first and foremost for giving me my life and for giving me the opportunity to work from such an early age and showing me everyday how to be a good human being by example.

And I want to thank my team who works with me every day. Aleen Keshishian, my manager, for 18 years and my agents Kevin Huvane and everyone at CAA. Bryna and Tamar at ID, my friends who are everything to me no matter what’s going on in my career. And everyone who has ever hired me, Luc Besson, who gave me first job when I was 11 years old. Mike Nichols, who has been my hero and my champion for the past decade and now Darren Aronofsky, you are a fearless leader, a visionary. I am blessed to have just gotten to get to work with you every day for the period of time we did.

So many people helped me prepare for this role. Mary Helen Bowers spent a year with me, training me, Michelle Rodriguez and Kurt Froman and Olga Kostritzky, Marina Stavitskaya, and my beautiful love Benjamin Millepied, who choreographed the film and has now given me my most important role of my life. And also there are people on films who no one ever talks about that are your heart and soul every day. Margie and Geordie who did my hair and makeup, Nicci, who dressed me, and Kate and Laura Mulleavy, who designed the beautiful ballet costumes, Joe Reidy, our incredible AD, first AD, and our camera operators J.C. and Steve who gave me so much soul behind the camera everyday you gave me all of your energy. Most importantly, my family, my friends, and my love. Thank you so much.

The Social Network Wins BIG at the Golden Globes

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – The “Social Network” won top honors Sunday at the Golden Globes with four prizes, including best drama and director, solidifying its prospects as an Academy Awards favorite. Congrats!

The Social Network received more nominations than any other movie this year from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which runs the Golden Globe Awards.

While Facebook publicists maintain that the movie isn’t a factually correct account of the company, the public has come to regard it as such. So the multiple Globe wins, including best dramatic picture, seems to benefit the real-life social network.

The timing of the Globes tends to influence people’s expectations for the Oscars, although the former includes television while the latter only deals with movies. Nominations for the 83rd annual Academy Awards are expected to be announced at 8:30 am January 25, and the ceremony will take place February 27.

Compare Advertising on your Local Radio Station to Internet Radio Advertising on EOTM

In Breaking News, Celebrity News, Hip Hop Artists, Internet Radio, Internet Radio Advertising, Internships, Marketing, Oscars 2011, Public Relations on December 6, 2010 at 8:29 am
  • First off let’s break down what’s really good audio content.
  1. Good audio content is anything that keeps listeners through the next minute, simply put.

What’s important in your community —

When responding to community needs, the relationship that’s built with a local radio station and it’s audience has always been solid..or at least for the most part. The argument though is that programs airing on local stations have diminished amounts of local content. Few stations, particularly mainstream are responding to community needs.

We Global…so we Local…

What internet radio was founded under —

On the internet side of this fence, there are few online radio stations that can claim to have a “program” of any sense – community or interest-oriented, EOTM is the exception. The lowest common demoninator for online streams is talk radio and music. EOTM Radio’s content is a plethora of talk/music radio shows focusing on a wide variety of cultural views and  an abundance of songs that does not necessarily resemble each other, which creates a more positive listening experience that keeps listeners coming back.

Media consumption has changed to where the 35 and below crowd chooses how it spends time not by program or radio personality, but by CONTENT.

Production quality demands are no longer high. Popularity is measured by the number of persons who have listened to the content, which can be tracked online with reasonable accuracy. When the “content” that interests them is gone, listeners will not stick around to hear the rest of the “program.”

With EOTM Radio we poll internet radio listeners as well as local and national mainstream broadcasts to discover what they would like to hear and discuss which creates somewhat of a bandwagon campaign good enough to capture the word of mouth which required to take it viral.

As I stated at the top of the blog, “good audio content is anything that keeps listenership through the next minute”. Want more of it?
