OSCARS 2011-Hollywood Stars Arrive on Red Carpet

Hollywood’s brightest stars are out in force for the industry’s night of nights – the Academy Awards.

More than a billion viewers around the world are expect to watch Hollywood’s royalty sashay down the red carpet tonight.

The Fighter’s Melissa Leo, who is nominated for best supporting actress, and Winter’s Bone’s Jennifer Lawrence, who is up for best actress, were among the first to arrive.

Mila Kunis, whose film Black Swan is up for best picture, dazzled in a plunging Elie Saab haute couture dress.

Anne Hathaway looked incredible in a figure hugging scarlet gown created for her by Valentino, who hovered around to ensure the gown didn’t burst.

The 60th NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday February 20 at Staples Center, marking the fifth time Los Angeles will be the site of the annual celebration.

It’s been seven years since Los Angeles last hosted the NBA’s All-Star Weekend events, but the city isn’t the least bit rusty.

A weekend’s worth of adventures will start Friday and culminate in the All-Star game itself on Sunday night. EOTM has compiled a full list of the All-Star events so you can plan your weekend accordingly.

Friday

The NBA All-Star Jam Session will kick off Friday at the Los Angeles Convention Center and run through Sunday. There will be basketball events NBA players and legends will be roaming the halls,willing to shell out free autographs for fans. Then, the excitement continues inside the Convention Center when the 2011 Celebrity All-Star game kicks off, headlined by none other than Justin Bieber.

Other celebrity invites include NBA Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson, television’s Rob Kardashian (“Keeping Up With the Kardashians”)

, Jimmy Kimmel (“Jimmy Kimmel Live”), Zachary Levi (“Chuck”), rapper Common and ESPN columnist Bill Simmons and more.

Friday night culminates in the Rookie-Sophomore game, which pins the NBA’s best first-year players against the best second-year guys. The game will be a preview of Saturday night’s dunk contest, with Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan and Serge Ibaka slated to play.

Saturday

All-Star Saturday Night will feature four competitions, starting with the Shooting Stars contest — which has NBA legends, WNBA players and current players in various shooting competitions — the Skills Challenge, which tests the ability of the NBA’s best point guards, the Three-Point Contest and the grand finale, the Dunk Contest.

After the game make your way to one of the hottest events of all star weekend — hosted by Uneek Music Artist and Staff and Special Guest Ray J whom will be performing live.

The main event will take place Sunday night as 24 of the league’s best players take the stage for the 60th NBA All-Star Game. The East roster is highlighted by the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, as well as the Celtics big four of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo.

In the West, Lakers perennial All-Star Kobe Bryant will be joined by teammate Pau Gasol and Clippers forward Blake Griffin, as well as Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and Tim Duncan.

If you can’t score yourself some tickets to any event, fear not — all the weekend’s festivities will be broadcast on ESPN and TNT.

Lil Zane back in the “Winnings” on set with Mack 10 and G Malone

A mixture of old and new school hip hop legends were on deck for Mack 10 and Glasses Malone new “winnings” video in Pasadena, California earlier this month.

You saw the video? Not! But here’s some of what went down during Mack 10 and G Malones video shoot for their new track “Winning”.

It’s no surprise that many rappers have attempted to mimic the true feel of west coast rap but not all are successful. Rap legend/actor Mack 10, a prominent figure in the rap game today has this on lock.

The collaboration with Mack and Glasses is not the first and sure not to be their last. When these two perform they bring the energy as if there is no tomorrow. Complimenting the old adage, if it’s going platinum, keep the hits coming.

The new school of rap was most definitely in the house taking notes from the rap legends which included long time platinum recording artist and actor, Lil Zane who was getting his cameo on as well as directing his own live production for Lil Zane TV.

“I am very excited to be here to support my boys, Glasses and Mack 10. They are doing it and doing it well, I really respect their grind and can’t wait to get it in with them both”, Zane said.

The behind the scenes footage includes commentaries from Zane and Diva Q of EOTM Radio, the footage also has the MCs chopping it up about their future collaborations.

“I heard Winning and everybody was bobbing their heads rocking to the beat. The track was very inspiring, uplifting, making me want to get my throw it in the bag vibe on, the west coast street grinders now have a new anthem.” Up and coming rapper Tipse said as the crew wrapped up the tapping.

Mack 10 and Glasses expertly put it down for the west coast and this video is sure to get worldwide attention.
